My Process

Our production had a beautiful soundscape that worked in unison with the lighting to tell the story and guide the audience. I was able to explore how to enhance the mood shifts from the music and finding the moments to pull down in the more intense moments of the play. Timing was key for this show as it was a mystery and so I had to find the best timing to tell the story without it being an obvious shift. My biggest challenge of this design & something I hadn't done before was creating the silhouettes that were visualizing the encounters being described. It was an element that became one of my favorite pieces of the design when it was done.
